VIETNAM LEAGUE 2024 ROUND 1: LAM DONG OPEN
2023 was a year for pilots to get acquainted with the VIETNAM LEAGUE cross-country paragliding competition system of PWCA VIETNAM.ย Following the success of VIETNAM LEAGUE 2023, in the early days of spring of the year of the Dragon, within the framework of Lam Dong Open Paragliding Competition 2024; VIETNAM LEAGUE 2024 ROUND 1 will be organized by PWCA VIETNAM in collaboration with Fly Dateh, Saigon Paragliding & Uni Sky Friends at Dateh flying site (Lam Dong) from February 23-25, 2024.
Dateh flying site is located 200km from Tan Son Nhat Airport (Ho Chi Minh City), 150km from Lien Khuong Airport (Da Lat); located on Con O Pass, My Duc commune, Da Teh district, Lam Dong province.ย The takeoff field is 620m above sea level with West, South & Southwest takeoff wind directions. The flying season here is from December to May every year. Average thermal from 2 - 5 m/s.
VIETNAM LEAGUE 2024 ROUND 1 allows up to 70 pilots to compete in different categories.ย The results of the tournament will be sent to the PWCA World Paragliding League to calculate points (converted into corresponding letters) for pilots participating in the PWC World Paragliding Series.
